What we collect

Your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you sign up; the business details you enter; and the records you create — customers, suppliers, quotes, invoices, payments, receipts and stock. We also keep basic technical logs (such as sign-in times and IP addresses) to protect accounts.

Why we use it

To provide ORYX Business to you: to sign you in, store and show your records, send documents and statements you ask us to send, and keep the service secure. We only send product news if you ticked the box for it, and you can stop it at any time.

Who sees it

People you give access to in your account, and our staff only where needed to support you or keep the service running. If a ORYX Business partner (reseller) introduced you, that partner can see your organisation's name, plan and subscription status — never your records. We use service providers for hosting and sending email; they may process data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal information.

Your customers' information

When you record your own customers' details, you decide how that information is used and we process it on your behalf.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and backups are made daily. We keep your data while your account is active and delete it after a reasonable period once the account is closed, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to its use, by emailing finhub@jacobsinc.co. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
